Family Escape Room
Family escape room now available as themed to suit the seasons
This is not a permanent fixture of the centre and is a mobile activity in a room. The room will be decorated as an Escape room to compliment each time of year and we are presently offering a Spring and Summer themed Escape room.
The Escape room is aimed at families working together to solve the clues and find the end of the game. The room is aimed at children aged 6 and above and there has to be team work to succeed in the 45 minutes maximum. Every escape room will have challenges to complete before the escape room itself.
We allow 30 minutes for the room and you can gain up to an extra 15 minutes by completing the challenges to buy you more time. Our customers have said such amazing things about the escape room from “we will be back to do another one as that was such great fun“, to “That was fun and we loved it as we were under pressure to succeed“.
For the Escape room we keep a Leader Board for three months and at the end of that time there are prizes for first, second and third place. We will let you know if you are our winners!!
Science & Space
The Discovery centre is a unique play centre and everyone learns while playing. With Science and "Space" themed rooms and exhibits then come and take off with us for an Adventure!!
Workshops
There are regular events of workshops and a variety of themes. Some of the workshops that can be booked are for example "Slime masterclass" and "Freaky Halloween Science"
Themed Days
At the Discovery centre we celebrate special days and weeks and the theme for the main rooms can be changed to suit. In winter we celebrate National Polar Bear Day and Grandparents Day to name a few of the 80 days we celebrate each year.
There will be the chance to have a go at a "VR Headset" Escape room too as we hire in an organisation to do this fun activity for all children and adults. We will let you know when this supplier is coming to our centre and WE are hoping to do This once a month!!

October we start a new concept of a Home Scavenger Hunt. Via a on-line live link we ask families to join us in fun. We send you off to find objects around the house as well doing questions, puzzles and quizzes live and gaining points.
The prizes will get bigger and bigger as more families play. All you need to join in is a laptop and a camera and a good internet signal so we can all play live together.
The new run of these will be from May onwards on a Saturday evening to brighten up your evening.
Coming Soon – Science Themed Playzone for the Under 5’s
We are launching in May 2025 some rooms dedicated to Science, play and the under 5’s – different from other play centres!
The second new event is a family game show in the centre. This is a mixture of all of your family favourite Tv programmes. We have not stolen any details but have been inspired to create games and challenges from the Krypton Factor, the Cube, the Crystal Maze and a lot more.
Do you remember the Generation Game? Well there will be a lot of really odd games to play and new concepts in a digital world.
